Do kids who get alcohol from their parents become more responsible drinkers? The research proves that they do not and in fact parents could be helping them drink more dangerously and heavier.
According to a study by researchers at Curtin University teenagers do not limit themselves to drinking the alcohol they got from their parents.
The survey looked into 400 school leavers in Western Australia and found that 25 per cent of them had been given alcohol by their parents. Two thirds of those teens also topped up that alcohol with other sources.
