You wouldn’t believe the country with the largest number of alcoholics and citizens who drink an average of 14 shots of hard liquor a week, hint…its not Germany or Russia.

According to Euromonitor, South Korea has about 1.6 million alcoholics and its citizens drink an average of 14 shots of hard liquor weekly.

It also found that South Koreans drink more than double the amount of alcohol as Russians, who are known for knocking back about 6  units of hard liquor a week on average.

Australia’s alcohol apetite pales in comparison, with less than 20 per cent drinking more than 2 standard drinks a day.
