Have you noticed how people in some careers tend to drink more than others? Which jobs make people want to down a stiff drink or two at the end of the day?
According to a survey conducted in The United States, people in the mining industry are most likely to drink alcohol at the end of the day. This is probably because mining work is high risk and tough on the body, so alcohol is a way of de-stressing and unwinding for miners.
18% of miners included in the survey were defined as “heavy drinkers”.
