The Fortnightly Hospitality News Wrap-Up: Alcohol Violence Crackdown in Sydney

More than 40 people were arrested during Police operation “Rushmore 4”. The operation was the latest round of investigations which involved stamping out alcohol fuelled violence and misconduct in Sydney’s entertainment districts. The operation involved 260 officers who patrolled streets and licensed venues to crack down on binge drinking and the negative consequences it brings. Police say patrons have the right to go out and have fun, but shouldn’t overdo it and endanger the lives of others.
