A study by the University of Greenwich has revealed that drinking 2 pots of beer may actually ease your headache better than 2 paracetamol tablets.

Researchers conducted 18 controlled experiments testing the analgesic effects of alcohol and found a small increase in pain threshold.  Researchers observed a moderate to large decrease in pain ratings.

So while beer may not stop the source of the pain, it may provide some short term pain relief.  But don’t forget that excessive consumption can increase your risks of long term health problems, so moderation is the key.  Source: http://www.theherald.com.au/story/4771557/raise-your-beer-glass-to-this-study/?cs=2452
