The next time you’re out on the weekend enjoying your favourite bar or pub with friends, take time to consider your skin and the effects that alcohol will have on it.
Here are some of the ways you can protect your skin,
1. Before drinking, eat a healthy balanced meal, loaded with protein and fat to shield your digestive system.
Also drink plenty of water and coconut water beforehand. A pinch of salt in your water will boost the mineral content. You could also consider taking an extra multivitamin to boost your anti-oxidant intake.
2. Before you go to bed eat a high fructose fruit like grapes or watermelon. It will help you liver efficiently detox.
A vitamin B1 supplement will help replace that lost during drinking.
Remove your makeup, no matter how tired you may be and apply an overnight mask. Also put on eye cream and moisturiser that was kept in the fridge overnight.
3. The next morning, drink a mixture of water, coconut water and orange juice with a pinch of salt.
Have beetroot juice for lunch to help your liver.
Also stay away from the sun.
