Majority of Perth Drivers Breaching Alcohol Interlock Conditions

As Victoria considers introducing similar alcohol interlock laws, it has come to light that the majority of Perth drivers forced to have alcohol interlocks installed in their cars in order to drive are breaching their restricting licence.

In fact research shows one in six drink drivers forced to install an alcohol interlock device, at their own cost of about $1600 have breached the conditions of their restricted licence.

As we approach the festive season, it’s important that we always arrange safe transport home before even going out and celebrating with a drink or two.
