Late Night Licence Extensions in Sydney met with Mixed Reviews

There have been a number of extensions granted to venues in Sydney’s CBD and the Kings Cross District, 14 in total.

The three latest venues to be added to the list of venues granted an additional half-hour to their trading hours are O’Malleys Hotel in Kings Cross, The Republic Hotel on Pitt Street and The Basement at Circular Quay.

These venues will be allowed to admit patrons until 2am and serve drinks until 3:30am.

There are another 16 applications for licence extensions being reviewed by Liquor and Gaming NSW.

The first 2 hotels that were granted extensions in January were the ArtHouse Hotel and Palace Hotel, both attributing to the benefit of the extended hours to their success.
