Is Alcoholic Kombucha Still Healthy?

Kombucha has grown in popularity especially among the health conscious in Australia but is it still healthy if it’s high in alcohol?

Dieticians say, it probably isn’t, given that lots of alcohol can actual upset the balance of bacteria in the gut.

Alcoholic kombucha also has a longer fermentation process, which is probably going to affect the taste negatively, resulting in more sugar or sweetener to make it taste good.

Ultimately if you want to retain the health benefits of kombucha, you may want to avoid the alcoholic versions.
