We all know the importance of staying hydrating, but some people think other drinks are more hydrating than others.
But swapping water for other beverages such as sports drinks is not more hydrating or effective in maintaining the body’s fluid levels.
Some drinks may taste refreshing but aren’t. For example you may think an ice cold beer on a hot day is the answer, it is actually a diuretic – in other words its the opposite of hydrating.
Sugary drinks are another example of drinks that seem refreshing but will dehydrate you.
