Cocaine Use and Other Things Gets Licensee a Life Time Ban

A former licensee of a Sydney club has been handed a lifetime ban and $10,000 fine for allowing multiple licence breaches including allowing cocaine use.

The case was described by the NSW Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority as one of the worst cases of blatant disregard for the law by allowing a culture of indecent conduct and illegal drug use to thrive at the venue.

They said life bans were reserved for the most serious offenders.

Authorities say the licensee was willfully blind to the flagrant and ongoing non-compliance with the liquor legislation by his staff.
