Brisbane Assaults Fall in Nightlife Districts

The Queensland Police Service’s annual statistics recently revealed some positive results from the last financial year. According to the statistics Brisbane has the lowest assault rates in the state with a 4 per cent drop recorded.

Brisbane’s 3 Safe Nights Precincts (which is where Brisbane’s pubs and bars are concentrated), showed signifcantly improved results. The Fortitude Valley area recorded a 15.6 per cent decline and the CBD an 18,4 per cent decline. Assaults in the Caxton Street area dropped by 23.8 per cent.
