Research and Teaching Academic at the University of Queensland, Veronique Chachay recently posted an interesting article in which she cautioned people to think before they drank, taking into consideration that alcohol’s calories end up on your waistline.
We don’t often take into consideration the amount of calories that we drink or factor them into our diets, but this is a mistake. As the writer points out there are 7 calories in every gram of alcohol. In comparison, a gram of carbohydrate or protein yields four calories, while one gram of fat has nine calories.
