Australian Working Mums Asking for Help Cutting Down on Alcohol

Although we often associate drinking problems with men, health experts say more Australian women are turning to the bottle to cope with the stresses of daily life.

The gap between how much alcohol men drink versus women is narrowing and doctors say working mothers are asking for help.

Although many mothers are trying to cope with working, kids, running a household and turning to alcohol to do so, many mothers are also recognising they have a problem and seeking help.

One difference between men and women who seek help for alcohol problems is that most women are opting for online support forums and at-home detox programs rather than the traditional forms of help like AA.
