Alcohol Drinking Trends in 2018

Wine remains the most consumed alcohol in Australia, according to The Roy Morgan Alcohol Currency Report.

The report revealed that of all Australians over 18 years of age, 44.5% drink wine and 18.38% drink beer.

On average in a four week period, 69.3% of Australians drink alcohol, with men being the predominant consumers.

Beer is consumed by 50% of men and just 2-% of women.

Although wine is the  most popular alcohol choice for drinkers in Australia, the largest volume of alcohol consumed is beer.
