Study Shows Alcohol Helps with Chronic Pain



Even more reason to raise that glass and down your favourite tipple has been presented by a new study, especially if you suffer from chronic pain.

The research into sufferers of fibromyalgia by Dr Gary Macfarlane, who published the study in the American medical journal Arthritis Care & Research says that alcohol helps manage chronic pain.

The study examined over 2,000 sufferers of chronic widespread pain and found that those who often consumed above average amounts of alcohol had lower levels of disability than those who never or rarely drank.
