The Mediterranean Neurological Institute in Pozzilli, Italy recently found that beer can actually be beneficial to our health, due to the alcohol and some other chemicals.
The review, took into consideration more than 150 studies, coming to the conclusion that drinking up to 2x 330ml cans of beer daily can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by about a quarter.
The study has been welcomed by the executive director of the Brewers Association of Australia and New Zealand Tim Reardon. He said the results were good news for the many Australian beer drinkers that are enjoying beer responsibly.
