New Canberra Weather Stations to Help Wine Makers

weather stations

Canberra’s wine producers are hoping 2 new weather stations will provide more accurate weather data for the region.

Four Winds Vineyard in Murrumbateman and Brindabella Hills are the 2 locations for the new weather stations.

The weather stations which cost $10,000 each are able to measure basic conditions, such as rainfall, humidity and wind speed, along with agricultural conditions such as leaf wetness and soil temperature.

Producers say the weather stations will help them create more consistently good wines and would also help reduce running costs.
